Yup, that's right, registration is open!
I'm teaching the first two weeks of regular camp this summer and am scheduled for two weeks of Art On The Move Tween Camp too.
Camps are a whirlwind of fun and creativity. I always feel like I've crammed half a term into one week which is kind of exactly what I do in camps. The nice thing is that those five days are full of intensive instruction. Adding new skills happens quickly because each day just adds onto the next.
I did my first Art on the Move camp last summer and it was soooooooooo much fun. I plan daily outings to art galleries, artists' studios, scenic locations and historical landmarks incorporating art lessons along the way. I generally teach the under ten set during regular teaching terms at ArtSpace so working with some older students was a new and very happy experience for me. The feedback from my camper's parents was so positive; some of our destinations really made an impression!
Among other locations we visited the New Media Gallery in New West Minster, The Contemporary Art Gallery, Gas Town and SFU.
